Fruit Cocktail Cake

FRUIT COCKTAIL CAKE (Easy and good)

1 c flour, 1 tsp soda, 3/4 c sugar, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 sm can fruit coctail, 1 egg

Sift together dry ingredients. Drain half juice out of fruit coctail and add it and egg to dry ingredients. Stir well. Do not use mixer. Pour into well-greased 9×9” pan. Sprinkle 1/2 c brown sugar on top (and 1/2 c chopped pecans—optional). Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Serve with whipped cream. (If you double this, bake 45 minutes.)
